Independence - Meet the trs 15 March 2012

U r a big boy now...:) Daddy and I met yr trs for the first time this yr..:) u are a above average student in the class, and of course there are room for improvements as always, they praised you for your good behaviour and gave some feedback on yr academic performance, well, in our country, we will inadvertantly be caught in a rat race agt.. ourselves. I was dissappointed that you did not received the edusave merit award last yr but i know u missed it by inches.. yet, come to think of it, I have very much left you on your own in terms of your learning. I chased after you for spelling in both languages .. but other than that, you are in fact really independent and I am proud of you, you do work assigned to you, sch or ours automatically and you packed your school bag on yr own daily. Auntie Nin said that especially on thurs and fri when u r home after sch, you would rest, watch a show and then do yr work. there s no need to scold nor nag at u.. this is important, and yes .. i am very very proud of you. There s this maths question needs you to divide 240 into 2 equal parts. Mummy asked, "200 shared by you and me, how much do we get?" " 100." Mummy asked,"40 shared by 2 of us, how much do each of us get?" 20". Mummy asked,"240 shared by 2 of us, how much do we get then.." Ur eyes darted fr left to right and to left again and .. "120" :) to me, a by who can be sensible and independent is a clever boy. A clever boy also knows how to put his best foot forward all the times and stand up when he falls, admit his wrongdoings and changed.... n makes the best decision based on good values . It was another of those super busy day... I was fnally home after working for 12 hours. was sitting by the 'blue sofa' listening to Gor Gor playing beautiful music when u suddenly showed me that you could write your name - CARRIE... :) I took a video and posted it on facebk immediately ... how proud i was of you:) jsut a few days ago, i was 'shocked' to know u remembered all your letters:) kudos girl.. but i would like u to play more actually.. well well, u r growing up with jies jies and gor gor who had outgrown the toys stage. But in any case, many many tks to Kakak.. our dear Auntie Nin that u hv such progress.. n more imptly, nai nai, ye ye and po po who had taken such effort to look after u kiddos.. without them, there s no us nor u ... anywayz... hv to stop nagging rite...

Half a yr had gone and both of you had grown so much .... Carrie actually tricked Anutie Nin yesterday and is so good at talking and relating events... Jerome, you had just failed your first test but it is obvious that you do not understand the meaing of fail... I know you hv no problem with the concept. But I want you to learn how to fail and stand up to try again, that will take time, we ll see.. you wil be going for your grade 1 piano exam in sept, i think papa more stressed up than you. your papa is trying really hard to relax and not get fustrated or stressed up easily but it is difficult, he carries great responsibilities on his shoulders you know:) The 2 of you hv to understand that in our society, the stress level can be really high, like papa, i am hoping that e 2 of u will learn how to manage anxiety n stress n become resilient pple. In any case, love you:) babies.
