U r getting out of hand lately... was wondering if ur terriblel two was delayed and just got started.. anyway, I think u hv been feeling kind of down lately.. maybe u could not imagine what's life like with meimei who will be coming out soon.. No worries my dear, we ll help u cope ya?! I just hope to bring your tantrums to the minimum with plenty of patience... I wil keep trying!

Carrie Chai?

Hello dearie, if mummy ever name u Carrie then it would be a name chosen by your brother:) He blurted the name out one day while talking to me.. I wonder where it comes from, anyway, this is one of the option... I would choose a name only after I met u ya? u hv grown slightly fromt he last checkup, Dr Kee says 'Fine..!' Keep it up dear... U have abt 10 more weeks to grow while in mummy tummy, 10 more weeks to get ready to see the world .. C u on the 22dec, the next checkup date...

The Papa is missing!

I am so proud of ur papa n u my dear.. It was 101008, u went 4 ur music lesson, the tr showed everyone in class the picture (of a mum and a baby wiht eyes and nose missing) n ask the class for ans... Most of the kids said," The eyes 're missing" , " The mouth is missing.." etc.. Guess what's ur answer? "The papa is missing!" Mumy was beaming with pride, I decided to interpret ur ans as we hv taught u what a complete family picture is like n u actually see the picture from this angle... What really went on in that little brain of urs? N Lao gong, I am so proud of u!

1st rock climbing xperience n ..much more

hahahahahhahahahahahahhahahahahahahha... that day is the first time u actually went out without ur us! U went with ruixuan gugu and uncle junbing all on ur own.. I am so proud of u! really.. my precious has grown up:) u went to uncle junbing hse n played with his dogs n then u went to his rock climbing sch to rock climb of course n u definitely enjoyed his cat:) U reached tis height (shown on photos) n i think u realised that u r off the groud, so u told them u will ocme back to climb when u r taller!! :) N for that whole trip, u enjoyed the cat most .. good one! Yeah! many many thanks to gugu n uncle ok!!

coffee tea or girl?

bb dear, mummy hv tried and tested n u really react to caffeine.. on days when i took more coffee, u were like somersaulting during the night times u know.. I hv not been eating too much healthy food, sorry, meaning u w=hv been eating junk food ya... Will put in a lot effort to watch what i eat k.

Red pens and erasers from .... school :(

U started bringing things back from school and making up stories (eg.. tr gave me..) I wouldn't use the owrd "lying" nor "stealing" but I have been asking and remindg u that tis is not right. u hv promised not to do tis again n i had promised to punish u if tis happen again.. i certainly hope that tis is going to be a passing phrase ... (fringers cross, toes crossed..) Meanwhile, the words "lying" and "stealing" will be introduced to u.. bit by bit...

It's a girl!

Chai bb, it's confirmed.. U r mei mei! Auntie Marini is green with envy! Jerome has been tasked to sing u a lullaby every night, gor gor has been enjoying it.. I hope u like it too. that day, he asked, "Mummy, has mei mei come out? I want to play with her leh.."

Mister hyperactive

U hv been so chatty...especially when there's visitors... wonder if it's the sweets?! I started barganing with u, need to do osme cutting down...Uncle Jit Song aka Uncle Robert (mistakenly by u as Uncle Robot) had dinner with mummy, Shuwei Jie Jie and Xiaolinf Jie Jie. I hv not met Uncle Jit Song for like 10 yrs... so he decided to come for a visit, I mean to look at u!! And there u were, zooming in and out, rung around the house like nobody's business and of course chatted non stop.. The other night, we went to Serangoon to hv dinner with Popo and Er Lao yi and family, u too, played non stop and talked non stop... Mummy's not complaining yah.. it's actually nice to hear u speak and entertain.. at least u r not throwng tantrums ... but I hv to bring out the quiet side of you soon, to balance off yah.. ... u really know how to play, u can play with anyone, anywhere, anytime...U really know how to chat too as long as the other party bothers to entertain u.. U r talking sense, u r making out what the world means to u, u r being observant .. in fact I hope u dun lose tis curiosity as u grow older like most kids do.. especially when they r in school..

u r so precious, while talking to the guy selling the insoles for ur flat feet, u grew impatient n auntie Nin took u for a walk but when we were done, we could not find the 2 of u.. oh boy, i knew u were safe but i still panicked but i did not imagine tt u wil get a big scare when u came back looking 4 us n could not see us ... tis is the 1st time i lost u, u hv fear written all over ur face n started wailing the moment u found me... could not imagine tt u r tt dear to me.. n of course u recover real fast and grabbed the chance to convince me tt we r having french fries for lunch ... anyway.. then in the evening, when papa brought u back from Joei's house, the lift carrying urself, papa and anutie Nin 'hanged' n u were almost trapped.. the 1st words u uttered was "I want my mummy!" when auntie Nin told me abt it, i realised n feel the bonding beyond description...n i know the decision to take unpaid leave next yr is something i hv to do... u r indeed priceless.

Mister flat feet ...

finally got u tested, i mean scanned, i mean got ur feet scanned.. and yes, U hv FLAT FEET inherited from Papa. It's going to cost a little to get those bones adjusted but we hv decided to start u young, 4 is a good age, they wil get u tailor made insoles to wear so tt the bones structure will get back to the healthy kind. It is always good to start early, no matter what it is we r doing, ya? we wil probably get u started on these soles after we consult the doc.

Well, well, just like gor gor, u going to receive presents from the government the moment u r born. But then again, tis is DEFINITELY not the reason why I am and want to bring u to tis world ... i hv been having bad sinus attacks and Dr Eric Kwek says it's bcos of the prenancy. I just hope tt with mummy falling sick so often, u will be least affected. ;) btw, gor gor changed his mind, he has decided tt u should b didi, not mei mei anymore.. god knows what he's thinking abt.

dearie, u r 13 weeks old now and measured 7cm in length, ur gor gor has been calling you mei mei but u have not dropped a single hint. No matter what, stay strong and happy, jia you ;) See u on 260808...

oh boy.. the last 3 months whizzed past and your little bro/sis inside me has past the first trimester, of course with mummy vomitting and feeling sleepy most of the time. U hv been talking to the bb, I shouyd say trying to. all you will say is "Bb, r u zzz already?" then you would close in and listen and then you would tell me tt bb is zzz-ing already... I hope we r doing enough to get u ready, u r definitely going to be real jealous but it's normal. Remember I say I can love both at the same time? U seems to understand tt well... well.. a step at a time.

U r a big boy now...

U have been so adorable... or should I say I have been more reasonable? I simply enjoy looking at you and talking to you these days, u hv indeed grown ... I just want to tell you "I really love you very much!" During the break I had been enjoying for the last 17 weeks, I have learnt how to in fact become a better mother, an even better person. In a week's time, I will be going back to work, I really hope I stay as sane as these past 17 weeks...

Mummy learns ...

This is a day worth remembering, a harsh lesson for me. 2 things happen today which really left me in a very depressed mood. It has always been a hard time disciplining u especially when u r at grandma's house. This time, it got really bad. I bring u to bed for ur nap, u refused to sleep, u asked 4 a story, I said "later". N u started wailing! U refused to stop. I waited very patiently n I nearly lose control. U finally stopped when ur grandma tells u to cos u r disturbing baby from her sleep. It was very bad. Later on at night, while preventing u from fighting over a toy, u actually lashed out at me, u hit me continuously. Of course, I was furious. U did what u always do, wail. When I was trying to punish u, ur grandpa bring u to his room and u were pacified immediately... We went home n u knew u were in hot soup. U were ignored. u dare not make too much noise, u did what u were told to do...

So, what's my lesson learnt? I reflected, I really did.. where on earth did I go wrong? At 4, u can argue very well. If I dont get to the root of the problem, it is going to be a very huge problem.

U or rather I have not been spending time with u. That's probably the root cause. N I mishandled u in a rough manner thrice already. I remember. I did not learn. It's my mistake.

Sand ...

We finally made it to the beach, only to find a sandpit... All's not lost yet. Well, u were actually very mindful of the sand for the first few minutes but after that, u were sitting down on the sand,, scooping, digging, burying, throwing, running ..... etc .... the next destination? A real beach!

This is one of the things that u learn effortlessly, it;s like u just know how to do this:) The flying turtle was given to us by Papa's colleague but it was broken. Think will be getting u a new one! We'll see...

Who is mummy's favourite boy?

u respond very well to this question. U began picking up writing skills. To date, you know how to write and spell "JEROME" and "NIN"(Kakak's name). Pretty proud of you,dear... I also realise that you are really always testing pepole's patient. You would be an extremely nice boy when we are patient wiht you. But when we lose the patient, you would "act up" This I hope of course is yet but another phase of your life. U r fully toilet trained by now, it happen magically. Have I ever mentioned that u can do colouring very well? Papa started u on "Little Notes" lessons @ Yamaha. U were selective on whether to follow the class or not... To tell the truth, mum is worried. U r not enjoying song and dance like other children ur age. Perhaps u r not too interested? Aren't sure yet. We will keep trying!
